Let's start with Good News

Mary McLeod Bethune (1875–1955)

She is most known for starting a private school for African-American students which later became Bethune-Cookman University with $1.50.

Mary was an American educator, philanthropist, humanitarian, womanist, and civil rights activist who founded the National Council of Negro Women in 1935, and the flagship 'Aframerican Women's Journal'.

She was the only African American woman to hold an official position with the US delegation that created the United Nations charter, and held a leadership position for the American Women's Voluntary Services, which was founded by Alice Throckmorton McLean. Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed Mary as a national advisor helping to create the Federal Council on Colored Affairs, also known as the Black Cabinet; and she presided over the National Association for Colored Women, and was the first Black woman to lead a federal agency; appointed by President Franklin Roosevelt as Secretary leading the National Youth Association (NYA).

Her statue is "the first monument to honor an African American and a woman in a public park in Washington, D.C." and the first African American statue to replace a confederate statue 😊

comment: @alfonzo6320: what i love about AI is that it didn't actually came up with all these arguments against the current economic system. Somebody did it. Or many people. The AI only collected their data, summarized it and presented it in a organized fashion. so, Props to humans.

Not done! Not going back!

The recent election confirms our need to let our parent's, grandparent's, and great-grandparent's efforts for equality & inclusion, go to waste. We have the rights we have, because they took Action.

It is a disservice to our Ancestors & Everything they sacrificed for us, to acquiesce to apathy

Inclusion v Exclusion

As an Independent Voter, I've done what I can to keep political opinions to myself. After recent events, I have the courage to publicly say that I align with politically minded people who prioritize country over party, whether that party is democrat, republican, or most special interest third-partys

Any policy that advocates

Us versus Them mentality

is not supported here.

You will find resistance here if you believe

one group of people deserve rights or benefits that another group of people cannot have.
