Windsong Ecovillage

Thirty years ago, a group of friends created an ecovillage under glass, 30 miles south of Vancouver in a little town called WindSong. Canada’s first 5,000-square-foot cohousing project includes a common house and 34 privately owned townhomes, designed with pedestrian streets covered by a greenhouse-style roof; this project also has a communal kitchen and dining room, shared laundry, underground parking, organic gardens, and preserved green spaces.
